BIG SUR TOURS AND MORE

Very cool even for a local like me! My wife and I have lived in Monterey County a long time and I have driven Hwy 1 to Big Sur many times but have never both been passengers. As a treat to ourselves we decided to hire Dave for the day to show us his Big Sur. I only had three objectives: Good breakfast spot, Find a new place to hike and find two places to return later. All items were no problem for Dave. The tour was very relaxing and informative as Dave knows this area and people extremely well and he shows you what you want to see - there are no preset stops. Fun Awesome time We wanted to get the most out of Carmel. Went there to see a wedding. We only had 4 hours .. called Dave.. he picked us up from the hotel..drove n stopped in awesome places ..so much to see! All of it beautiful! . A Tour to Remember My friend and I didn’t want to drive because we wanted to see everything and take lots of pictures. So glad we found Dave! He picked us up in Carmel right on time and the adventure began! We stopped at places we would have driven right by and Dave filled us in on the history. He always had an anecdote ready and people knew him everywhere we stopped. I can’t imagine how our tour could have been more perfect.

Dave Luxury Tours Dave is absolutely amazing. We went on a tour and we saw the Bixbsby bridge and other little Gems Big Sur and Monterrey had to offer. He was extremely knowledgeable, fun and very outgoing. We spend approximately 4 hrs. maybe longer site seeing with Dave and it was the best choice we made. We went on the 17 mile drive through Pebble Beach which was great, the Hyatt and just in general we saw some of the most beautiful views. Can't wait to have another relaxing day with Dave he is so amazing that he will forever be our go to person and friend. Please call Dave if your in Big Sur or surrounding areas, it is worth it.

A tour of Big Sur WOW! We drove down Highway 1. First off the beaten path was a drive up to Hyatt Highlands and we were tickled pink with the view. We passed some awesome houses and amazing ocean views and before we knew it we were in Big Sur. We were out of the car at the Bixby Bridge to hear the ocean and get lifelong memories of the day. From there, the wonders continued! Dave handled all of the details of the day and worked closely with us on what we wanted to see. We were both able to enjoy the day without the hassle of navigating the tricky road. Thanks, Dave!!

Making More of Big Sur Dave is a great guide and a true mensch (good, genuine person). We have been to Big Sur/Carmel area before but he showed us things we missed and was able to share interesting details about history of the area. The area is beautiful but hard for the driver to appreciate as much. Dave enables everyone to enjoy the sights and knows exactly where to go for the best views. He will also customize to fit your likings and with what you have already seen. If you enjoy music and movie trivia he will also keep you entertained. Highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience! We agree that Dave is a great guide and a real mensch! We spent six lovely hours driving through Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. We had a delicious lunch with Dave at Nepenthe, a place with spiritual presence and staggering beauty. Dave took us into the Cypress Inn in Carmel, a real charmer. It was owned by Doris Day and she welcomed dogs into the hotel, which is filled with paintings and sculptures of mainly poodles along with memorabilia and photos of her storied career. We will be staying there on our next trip to Carmel, hopefully next month. We may even book another tour with Dave during our short visit. Ann and Allen Cleveland, Ohio

He drove us around Big Sur, saw the Bixby Bridge, Big Sur Valley, Hawthorne Gallery (stunning views), the Henry Miller Memorial Library which is tucked into the forest among Redwoods -- very cool eclectic spot off the highway.

The views were spectacular as expected. Dave stopped plenty of times to allow for pictures.

We loved our lunch at Nepenthe (amazing views, great food). Saw a bit of Pfieffer Park, Big Sur River Inn, Pebble Beach and wrapped up the day by winding through Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Dave is a character and a pleasure. We thoroughly enjoyed the day! Dave is an expert on the area and he gave us great restaurant tips before he dropped us at our hotel (Tickle Pink Inn - can't rave enough about this place).

Dave is the best! I came to California with the idea of spending a few days at Carmel by the Sea. I come from New York City, no car, no driver license...meeting Dave was like winning the jackpot! I got to see Pebble Beach, Monterey, 17 Mile Drive, Big Sur, all in the most pleasant and entertaining company! He showed me the best places, the best spots, I took the best pictures, and I had the best time!!

He was so kind of personally bringing to my hotel some souvenirs I forgot in his car.

Best private tour EVER! My husband and I loved seeing so many great sights and meeting locals. We were with Dave for over 9 hours. He took his time to show us so many great places! Around Monterey, Carmel amd Big Sur. He knows his way around and I felt like he gave us a true sense of how beautiful and unique the area is. We met locals and had the best Italian lunch! Dave is so funny and knows alot about the areas. We ended with a stop at a beautiful art gallery. It was a wonderful tour!

Take the Tour, It’s the Best Way to See Big Sur! After reading the great reviews, I decided to book a custom tour with Dave, for me and my two grown kids. I liked the idea of having someone knowledgeable drive us through all the “must sees” while we relaxed and took in the sights. He knew exactly where to take pictures as we drove along the Big Sur coast. He would give us a warning and count down to the exact spot to take pics from the car. The places we stopped were spectacular views.

When pre-planning the tour with Dave, he made it clear that it is your tour - not mine and he’ll take us to the places we want to go.

He had snacks, waters and loads of info for the relaxing ride.

My kids were surprised at how much they liked the tour. This tour was the highlight of our vacation and worth the money. I highly recommend it!
